EXTENDING YOUR STAY
Extending your stay in the US after you have completed your studies may be possible, but there may also be restrictions or conditions. You should contact US Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS) for more information.

You do not need to apply to extend your stay as long as you are maintaining your student status and making normal progress towards completing your academic course of study. Should extenuating circumstances arise which might impede your normal progress, you should contact USCIS for information and assistance.
